Vicenza, September 30th 2022 – The great creative party organized by Italian Exhibition Group returns to the pavilions of the berico expo center for the autumn edition of Abilmente Vicenza, from October 13^th to 16^th 2022. Strengthened by the success of the Roman edition, which has just ended, the community of Do It Yourself lovers returns to meet among the more than 300 exhibitors present at the Vicenza event, immersing itself in the different worlds of creative manual skills and returning to the most iconic areas of the fair. Experiential workshops, art installations, courses and workshops will be accompanied by a very rich offer of materials with which to create any handmade project.

A THOUSAND CREATIVE TIPS IN THE VIA DELLE IDEE

The best known creative minds on the national scene will reveal the latest do-it-yourself trends in the cult area La Via delle Idee, a place for learning and sharing new techniques through creations, courses and demonstrations, ranging from custom jewelry to weaving, from crochet to rag sculptures, from creative sewing to furnishing accessories, from artisan bookbinding to eco-printing on fabric and leather, passing through quilling and different calligraphic techniques.

CUCITO SU DI TE: ALL THE SECRETS OF TAILORING AND SEWING

Also back to Vicenza Cucito su di te, the laboratory area dedicated to artisanal tailoring created in collaboration with blogger and fashion designer Gaia Segattini. Details and finishes, tailor-made clothes, decorations and painting on fabrics will no longer have secrets, thanks to the advice and techniques learned from the tailors and designers present at the fair, who will teach those who want to try their hand with needle and thread how to combine colors and fabrics and to be inspired by the principles of slow fashion, far from fast fashion.

CREATIVITY AT WORK BETWEEN EMBROIDERY, TEXTILE EXHIBITIONS AND WORKSHOPS

Instaembroidery returns to Vicenza this year, the space dedicated to modern embroidery, including drawings inspired by the natural world and very accurate portraits that decorate dresses and skirts, from vintage shirts with motifs inspired by the Middle Ages to embroideries that blend with drawing and painting, to create unique items in the world. To test yourself with embroidery at the exhibition there will also be workshops in the Arti di Filo area, where you can learn the techniques of Florentine quilting on silk, painting stitch, counted thread embroidery and traditional Sardinian embroidery. There will also be exhibitions of textile art on scenarios inspired by nature or works of art of the past, tributes to artists of the past and present, alongside solidarity projects carried out thanks to the making of creative objects and hundreds of workshops to put try the imagination of young and old.

A FALL FULL OF CREATIVITY

The Vicenza event is part of an autumn full of creative inspirations: after the Roman stage in September, the Salone delle Idee Creative arrives for the first time under the Mole, from October 20^th to 23^rd, for the debut of Abilmente Torino at Lingotto Fiere, to then arrive in the capital of Italian design with the second Abilmente Milano at Superstudio Maxi, from November 3^rd to 6^th.
