ATTESA AD UN FILO

Within the “Walk-in Studio” festival on Friday 23 October 2020 from 11.00 to 23.00, in the spaces of the VI.P.  LABORATORY will be launched the exhibiton “Waiting on a thread” curated by Erika Gravante, Federica D’Avanzo and Maria Rosaria Cavaliere
The exhibition intends to present three young emerging artists and their works. The common element that binds the three artists Laura GuildA, Eleonora Gugliotta and Mahnaz Ekhtiary is the use of thread.
During the lockdown period, the artists were able to deepen the concept of ‘waiting’. Contrary to what it represents for many, it is a transition, a motionless movement from which the human need to narrate constantly arises.
The exhibition therefore focuses on the theme of the totally positive re-elaboration of the concept of ‘waiting’, identified as a cultural custom by the emblematic figure of Penelope who lives the waiting without enduring it but sublimating the time spent in it.
