With the new cycle POSTGENESIS at the exhibition in the Kaštela Town Museum, Dražen Pejković presents works that stylistically and technically follow the work of some of the previous sections from the cycle “Genesis”, for example: Microns, Mutations, and especially Singularity. Referring to recent works, the author emphasizes the conceptual outline consisting of three common concepts in art history lexicon: architecture, associativity and abstraction, which he summarizes in the title of the exhibition – 3A. Is this recent alteration, the abandonment of thinking about themes that remain without an ideal response, as well as questions of purpose that do not exclude anxiety and suspense, expressed in particular and in an unusual way in the current period of the global pandemic, or is it a creative response regardless of them? For Pejković, this is obviously an optimistic confirmation of the latter, evidenced by dedicated, patient, methodical and productive work in order to satisfy all his professional and creative interests and ideas. Unlike the previous cycle when the concepts imputed thematic and motif outcomes that were his inclination, the author now freed from references, but not excluding figurative reflections, displays greater freedom of personal artistic imagination. These sculptures evoke questions and provoke mixtures of feelings, but above all they evoke processuality, quiet drama, mysticism, atmosphere and almost hypnotic visual harmony…
