The Art Textile Biennale seeks to exhibit the best of contemporary art textiles and invites submissions that reflect a wide range of works related to the textile medium. The goal of the exhibition is to include innovative work rooted primarily in textile as well as art that explores unexpected relationships between textile and other creative disciplines.

Australasian Quilt Convention & Expo (AQC)

The AQC Expo is a quilter’s dream. Almost 100 retailers will be gathered together and all are devoted to bringing visitors the latest quilting supplies. There will be new product launches, the latest machines to test drive, and exciting new fabrics and patterns.
As well as quilts, there will be ideas for textile art, clothing, small sewing projects, embroidery, handbags and soft furnishings. Anyone with a love of textiles, will adore AQC. Here is a snapshot of what is happening at the expo to help you plan your visit.

The AQC Quilt Show is an unparalleled collection of quilting excellence. Each quilt has been specially selected so you can see not only the best works from around Australia, but also the best from our convention tutors, international exhibitions and competitions

Fibre Arts 2019

 21 – 27 April 2019 Whanganui Girls College,
 Whanganui ,  Nuova Zelanda

Fibre Arts New Zealand runs an annual five-day residential event that provides participants with the opportunity to work with both New Zealand and overseas artists and craftspeople who are experts in their fields.

There are up to seven workshops on offer targeting different levels of knowledge.  Some workshops focus on techniques whilst others are designed to push the participants to think about their creative practice in a new light or in a new direction.  Participants select one workshop and work with that tutor for the duration of the event.

Creative Fibre Festival 2019

The members of Creative Fibre Manawatu are proud to be hosting Creative Fibre Festival 2019. This 50th anniversary of the Society is going to be a very special, action-packed few days of fibre delights, and a chance for you to meet up and reminisce with friends, old and new, from across New Zealand and further afield.

The whole festival, including a professionally staged fashion parade, national exhibition, traders, education, festival challenge, displays, demonstrations, and competitions, will be under one roof in Palmerston North’s Fly Palmy Arena and Arena 3.
