“LANA – from white to black” is the fourth edition of the LeArtiPossibili Biennial, this year dedicated to wool, which will be held from 2 to 6 November 2022 in the spaces of Stecca3, in Milan, under the patronage of the Municipality 9 of the Municipality of Milan and the Metropolitan City of Milan.
The intention of the social promotion association LeArtiPossibili, born in 2018 from a project by Francesca Bagnoli, Cristina Ghiglia and Fiorenza Giuriani, is to bring together works from different artistic backgrounds in a single exhibition. Artists, artisans, creative people, art therapists, reception and rehabilitation facilities, schools and art collectives come together in this biennial, which is becoming an integral part of the artistic, social and cultural fabric of Milan, to make artistic practice not only an expressive tool, but also a therapeutic, educational and sharing tool. Thanks to the presence of works of heterogeneous origin, it is in fact possible to discover the richness of the unexpected, of the untried, often frequent in the free and amateur artistic approach, which, by taking its place alongside the more structured artistic approach, constitutes a horizon of experiential growth for all, according to an innovative way of freeing oneself from value judgements and educational prejudices.

Also on display on the Stecca3 steps will be the collective urban knitting installation ‘SPAZIO ALL’ARTE’ (SPACE TO ART), consisting of hundreds of knitted and crocheted strips of wool, created over the past few months during collective knitting sessions in various aggregative contexts, to which various individual contributions were added. The event was realised in collaboration with ‘Parole di Lana’, a Milanese creativity venue, and saw the participation of around one hundred people of all genders, ages and backgrounds who embraced this common artistic practice as a personal and social resource for coming together and sharing.
