The London Stitch Festival

Italiano (Italian)

An interesting report, from February 27 to March 1, a Festival dedicated to Textile Art that we love so much will take place in London

The Stich Festival, at the Business Design Center in London, Islington. (this borough in the north of the big city deserves a careful visit).

It was born in 1995 as the Spring Festival of knitting and wool and over the years it has expanded to many other branches of textile work.

Today 2020 boasts the presence of many artists and meets all needs.

Photos of the 2019

Olga Pirku, the poetic and original embroidery, her paintings with flowers on a frame;

Kings Fly exposes a ruthless way of using fabrics in the creation of clothing that is extravagant to say

Angela Daymonal with the Kantha embroidery, which is also spreading among us, we have also written about it in our periodical ArteMorbida

And then there’s him, who doesn’t know him? Kaffe Fassett with a performance of his latest quilts, cheers up the heart with its soft and penetrating colors.

A lot of wool for knitting made with passion only with precious wool, 240 creative and demonstrative workshops with specialist tutors, for learning and a truly dangerous shopping area!

I confess it, how much I would like a trip, despite BREXIT, to London! And I would add a walk in the Highgate cemetery which is nearby, perhaps under a drizzle.
