On Friday 7 July 2023, Spazio NICO will be opening the solo exhibition Ma La Notte No by Mariantonietta Bagliato. This exhibition is part of the curatorial path called LIDO that has characterised the programming of the space in the period 2022/2023.

Mariantonietta Bagliato visual artist, Bari, 1985.
Her artistic research is influenced by the puppet theatre with which she grew up in the footsteps of her mother, a puppeteer from Prague. Her work is characterised by the systematic use of fabric as a visual material for its evocative power of the collective unconscious memory. She transforms textiles into soft and enveloping, sometimes aggressive and monstrous forms, capable of stimulating multiple senses from the visual to the tactile.

She attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Bari and currently teaches Graphic and Pictorial Disciplines. She has participated in numerous national and international solo and group exhibitions.
