Silvia Perramon Rubio: HEARTBEAT

A 7-meter-long work, tailor-made for the size of Pier Giuseppe Moroni’s Gallery – 7.24X0.26 – at the entrance to his well-known salon in the Milanese fashion district, which over time has become a privileged meeting place between art, craftsmanship and fashion.

Heartbeat is a unique installation created by the Spanish embroidery artist Silvia Perramon Rubio, architect and tireless explorer of manual paths that led her to become passionate about embroidery and the particular Luneville technique, used above all in high fashion, where Silvia Perramon Rubio is in great demand.

Her embroideries, made for the most prestigious high fashion houses, are worn by globally acclaimed celebrities, treading stages and red carpets such as the Los Angeles Oscars and the NY MET Gala.

Intense, material, three-dimensional, in her embroideries Silvia Perramon Rubio “paints” people’s faces, human hearts and abstract subjects with the Luneville technique, using as a basis fragments of light Indian fabrics such as gauze, used in fashion to perform embroidery on the loom, which are then removed and undone, giving life to new sculptures of threads, recovered floral laces and sequins.

These are the materials used as the basis for Heartbeat, a set of parts that the artist unites and composes, stitch by stitch, heartbeat by heartbeat, with a red thread, inserting red Swarovski crystals, to give light and energy – in a word Life – to her mighty creation.
