On Saturday May 15 and Sunday May16 the Chieri Textile Museum, in via Santa Chiara 11A, opens to the public the new exhibition itinerary, the subject of a significant rearrangement, which tells the textile vocation of Chieri from the fifteenth century to the present day.   At the same time, the Porta del Tessile room, in via Santa Chiara 5, hosts the personal exhibition of Lisa Fontana, “Copper Shuttle 2021” Award, who with her textile works of art has reinterpreted traditional designs in a contemporary key using various materials – from linen to copper, from bamboo to silk – and weaving on the historical looms of the Textile Museum.

On Saturday May 15, at 11 am, it’s the official inauguration of the new exhibition itinerary and the temporary exhibition, with a presentation by Melanie Zefferino, President of the Chierese Foundation for Textiles and Textile Museum who signs the rearrangement, and the participation of Alessandro Sicchiero, Mayor of the City of Chieri, Antonella Giordano, Councilor for Culture of the City of Chieri, and of the directors Filiberto Martinetto, Laura Vaschetti, Renato Vasino and Giuseppe Vergnano.
