The two winners – selected by a Commission – will be offered the opportunity to spend a six-month period in New York (January – June 2024), in order to develop their creative skills in contact with the cultural and artistic environment of the United States and, in particular, of the Big Apple. In addition to airfare and a monthly allowance of USD 4,000 (for room and board), the two artists will be able to participate in cultural activities organised by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Academy and attend lectures on subjects such as art history, film theory, visual arts and architecture at Columbia University as auditors, subject to the teacher’s authorisation. At the end of their stay, the artists will organise an exhibition of their works at the ISCP (International Studio & Curatorial Program) exhibition spaces in Brooklyn or at other institutions in Manhattan.
