Tessitura del tappeto, conservazione e restauro: Festina Lente promuove un weekend di workshop e conferenze

In occasione della manifestazione diffusa NATURALES QUAESTIONES in programma a Bobbio (PC), uno dei Borghi più belli d’Italia, Festina Lente Laboratorio di Restauro Tessili Antichi promuove due eventi.

Sabato 2 settembre, dalle ore 10:30 alle ore 12:30 organizza un “Workshop di Tessitura del Tappeto”, corso base introduttivo alla storia, alle funzioni e alle tecniche esecutive di tessitura dei tappeti tradizionali. Il workshop prevede la realizzazione pratica su telaio a tavoletta di un piccolo tappeto, utilizzando la tecnica base e relativi effetti di tessitura: inserimento orditi, nodo simmetrico e asimmetrico, tecnica kilim e sumak. Domenica 3 settembre, ore 15:30, promuove con il patrocinio del Comune presso l’Auditorium Philippe Daverio in piazzetta Santa Chiara, la conferenza “La cura delle opere d’arte: dialoghi e riflessioni sul restauro, la conservazione e la tutela del patrimonio culturale”

La cura delle opere d’arte è un processo fondamentale per garantire la loro conservazione nel corso del tempo. Questa pratica si concretizza in scelte metodologiche ben precise che passano attraverso la definizione di svariate attività che concorrono tutte alla salvaguardia e alla protezione della materia di cui sono costituiti i manufatti.
Attraverso le testimonianze, le esperienze e gli studi condotti da restauratori di beni culturali andremo ad indagare le pratiche della buona conservazione nei diversi settori, riflettendo su tutte quelle azioni attuate soprattutto mediante la conservazione preventiva, volte a prendersi cura dell’opera d’arte senza sfiorarla.

Curata da Festina Lente Studio, Laboratorio di Restauro Tessili Antichi, prevede l’intervento della relatrice Elisa Monfasani con la partecipazione del dr. Giulio Claudio Barbiera, Restauratore di Materiali lapidei e derivati e di Carta Antica, conservazione e restauro di Anna Bianchi, laboratorio di restauro libri, carta, pergamene, stampe.

Seguirà un workshop dimostrativo delle tecniche esecutive costitutive le principali categorie di tessili con dimostrazione pratica a cura di Emanuela Fistos di Festina Lente dei materiali e delle tecniche esecutive costitutive alcuni dei tessili antichi.

La partecipazione alla conferenza è gratuita e non necessita di prenotazione.

On the occasion of the widespread event NATURALES QUAESTIONES scheduled in Bobbio (PC), one of the most beautiful villages in Italy, Festina Lente Laboratorio di Restauro Tessili Antichi promotes two events.

On Saturday, September 2, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., it is organizing a “Carpet Weaving Workshop,” a basic introductory course on the history, functions and execution techniques of weaving traditional carpets. The workshop will include the practical execution on a tablet loom of a small rug, using the basic technique and related weaving effects: warp insertion, symmetrical and asymmetrical knot, kilim and sumak technique. Sunday, Sept. 3, 3:30 p.m., promotes under the patronage of the Municipality at the Philippe Daverio Auditorium in Piazzetta Santa Chiara, the conference “The care of works of art: dialogues and reflections on restoration, conservation and protection of cultural heritage”

The care of works of art is a fundamental process to ensure their preservation over time. This practice takes the form of very specific methodological choices that go through the definition of a variety of activities that all contribute to the preservation and protection of the material of which the artifacts are made.
Through the testimonies, experiences and studies conducted by cultural heritage restorers, we will go to investigate the practices of good conservation in different areas, reflecting on all those actions implemented especially through preventive conservation, aimed at taking care of the work of art without touching it.

Curated by Festina Lente Studio, Laboratory of Antique Textile Restoration, it will include a talk by speaker Elisa Monfasani with the participation of Dr. Giulio Claudio Barbiera, Restorer of Stone Materials and Derivatives and Antique Paper, Conservation and Restoration by Anna Bianchi, laboratory of restoration of books, paper, parchments, prints.

This will be followed by a demonstration workshop of the executive techniques constitutive the main categories of textiles with practical demonstration by Emanuela Fistos of Festina Lente of the materials and executive techniques constitutive some of the ancient textiles.
